Kathryn Kennedy, DDS in Westmont, Illinois has been serving the local communities of Westmont, Downers Grove, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Willowbrook, Hinsdale, and La Grange. Located just 18 miles west of the Chicago Loop in the county of DuPage, it is rated one of the nicest areas in Illinois to live.

A combination of excellent schools, affordable housing, and a mix of urban and suburban living make it a popular place for young professionals to come and raise their families. The community has a nice neighborhood feel with parks and malls and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. If you want the big city life, Chicago is only a short drive away. On the weekends, there are car shows, activities for the kids, and plenty of outside activities. There are also indoor activities such as bowling, libraries, cafes, and much more. It is known as a peaceful town that is safe for children.

The name of Westmont comes from “west mound” where Chicago got its clay from to make bricks when it was rebuilding after the great Chicago fire in 1871. Although in terms of geographic size, it is a smaller town, it does boast a population of over 25,000, and it maintains a local friendly hometown feel.

Dr. Kennedy fell in love with this area over 20 years ago and chose to set up her dental practice in Westmont because of the proximity to everything, yet still offering the family environment. She treats patients of all ages from children to seniors. Her family dental practice has grown over the years and she has brought a lot of newer technology, being one of the first doctors in the area to provide many high-tech services such as the 3D conebeam x-ray for assisting in the placement of dental implants, and the FastBraces® orthodontics which allows our patients to have a great smile in a much shorter time than traditional orthodontics.
